Henry Inlander (3)

Inlander used windows in many of his paintings and from time to time, there would be a mirror in a corner with the painter looking both at his own work and the window he had constructed. This play between what the artist sees and what spectators see was a constant thematic in many paintings. The result was tension between different viewpoints and questions about truth and vision.
